Guarda Rios Tinto is made from manually harvested varietals of Aragonez, Syrah, Trincadeira, and Alicante Bouschet, which are partially crushed and fermented in steel tanks, with some being barrel-aged for up to 8 months. The palate is silky, dense, rich yet very drinkable. This red is a great match for a number of cuisines, but pairs perfectly with pan-seared duck with cherry glaze.
