Cesar Marquex Perez El Rapolao is a blend of Menci and other local varieties from Beierzo, Spain. It is elegant beyond words and sourced from a single vineyard, El Rapolao. The hand-picked grapes are fermented in 100 L vats, some of the grapes are left as a whole cluster. Aromas of raspberry, red plums, and subtle spice. The smoothness of the wine is very desirable, with layers of complexity without being overwhelming. This wine will lay down nicely, and is also very ready to drink. A great red for special occasions, or paired with pan-seared duck breast or peppered tenderloin steaks.
