Carpineto Chianti Classico is a blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and a dash of other local grape varieties. The wine is aged for one year in oak and then bottled. Velvety, well-rounded, full-bodied, and well-balanced with aromas of cherry, raspberry, and spice. The palate is fuller, with similar flavours and structured but well-integrated tannins. This wine will lay down nicely for the next five years, or can be enjoyed now with grilled meats, stews, or pizza.
