Amarone is made from a selection of the best grapes of the vintage, which are then dried on mats before being pressed for their concentrated juice. The Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is big and bold, with prominent notes of prune, chocolate, cherries, anise, and violet. Still young, this Amarone could be drunk now or cellared through until 2033.
Try pairing it with a hearty jambalaya.
