The Colomnat Morgon Bon Appetite cuvée is a blend of different vine plots, all from the “Les Charmes” vineyard. The average age of the vines is 50 years. The soil is sandy granite, with a shallow depth. These poor soils help to limit the vigor of the Gamay grapes, resulting in a Morgon cuvée with a beautiful richness. The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, and then aged for 8 months. Blend: 20% aged in oak barrels and 80% aged in concrete tanks. This wine is soft, yet has complexity. A great representation of Gamay Noir.
