Tullibardine is situated on the site of Scotland’s oldest brewery dating back to the 12th Century, and from where in 1488 the beer was bought for King James IV’s coronation at Scone. The Distillery was converted in 1947 by William Delme Evans, mothballed in 1995 and re-opened as an Independent Distillery in 2003. It is now owned by leading French wine and spirits Group, Picard Vins & Spiritueux.

This is for fans of non peated highland style whiskies. Fresh, floral and easy drinking. For those curious about what happens when you finish a few barrels in sherry or sauterne casks, this will be right up your alley!! It’s also nice to see what a whisky will do if it has been laying down for 25 years. It is also perfect for folks just getting in to single malts and/or whisky in general.

Your tasting kit
Your tasting kit will include 30ml (1 oz) samples of the following seven whiskies:

Note: participants must be of legal drinking age.

Hosts: Robert White & Andrew Dunn

Robert has worked in the adult-beverage industry for over 30 years on both the wholesale and retail sides of the business. He was inducted into the Keepers of the Quaich in 2008. This is a society that requires a significant and long term contribution to the success of Scottish Whisky and the Scotch Whisky industry. Not to be confused with Companions of the Quaich, which is a great whisky club for which there are chapters all over the world, that all can join . The Keepers of the Quaich only invite approximately 50 people to join each year. Robert is one of only about  4000 world-wide members, and one of few Canadians to receive the honour. As of today, there are only about 60 Keepers of the Quaich in Canada.  Fun fact: Robert was gifted a square metre of land in the northern Hebridean Islands of Scotland. This technically makes Robert a “Laird” in Scotland, and his wife a “Lady”. He’s never actually been to see his little chunk of land, but believes if he was to stand in it, he would likely encroach on his neighbour!

Andy, President of Gold Medal Marketing Inc., has been involved with the selling and importing of beverage alcohol – specializing in Scotch whisky for approximately 25 years. GMM represents Springbank Distillers Ltd., Tullibardine Distillery, Kilchoman, Isle of Raasay Distillery and Pràban na Linne – The Gaelic Whiskies. Along with Independent Bottlers – AD Rattray, North Star Spirits Cut Point. In April of 2008 Andy became a “Keeper of the Quaich” (#1779).
