After 25 years of cultivating Merlot for blends, Vignamaggio decided it was time to properly dedicate a cru to the endeavour. The Vignamaggio Merlot di Santa Maria has notes of plum, blueberry, and licorice. It is medium-bodied, with softened tannins and a spiced finish.
Try pairing it with duck fesenjan.
