This wine is named for Gherardino Gherardini, the founder who built the manor house on the Vignamaggio estate in the 1400s. The Vignamaggio Gherardino Chianti Classico Riserva delivers notes of sour cherry, ripe blackberry, and fresh tobacco. This Chianti is 90% Sangiovese and has 10% Merlot added for a balancing effect.
Try pairing it with a traditional Osso Bucco.
