Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5°

2017 was a cool vintage in the Ribera del Duero, but the team at Vega Sicilia is always up for a challenge, and through low extraction fermentation and lengthy aging in barrel and bottle, this wine softened into a juicy and complex masterpiece. The acidity is notable but blends with the bold structure and elegant aromatics to achieve an elevated glass of wine. The 2017 Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5° has notes of berry preserves, beeswax, and warm spiced figs. The ideal drinking window is 2023 until 2030.
