Pezat is a stone’s throw away from the legendary appellation St.-Emilion. Priced reasonably, this wine displays an opaque ruby/purple color and beautiful black currant intermixed with kirsch, licorice and a hint of underbrush. Tart cranberry and blue-fruit aromas merge with hints of toasted meringue and rich tobacco. Soft plums, Asian spice, and tarry flavors finish with ample length and moderate tannins. It is dense, medium to full-bodied, very silky-textured, mouth-filling and enormously satisfying. This wine is great bang for your buck overdelivering in every aspect.
