This delicious Sangiovese is named Sacromonte, meaning “Sacred Mountain”, for Mount Amiata which was the fabled home of the Etruscan gods. The Castello di Potentino Sacromonte Sangiovese has delightful notes of tart cherry, clay, and dried savoury. Structured with medium tannins, this wine is delicious without being overwhelming.
Try pairing it with a wild mushroom galette with herb crust.
