The high alcohol content is very apparent on the nose but with patience, it leads to rich fruity aromas with a nutty backdrop. The spiciness on the palate gives way to the remnants of a dark espresso biscotti. Drying and tannic on the finish but with a satisfying belly-warming effect. A great example of a whisky that balances bourbon & sherry casks goodness.
